Noah and Tristan Wilkerson recently relocated to the city of Mbombela, where they are beginning a new phase of ministry. The Lord provided encouragement during their 17-hour move as missionary friends traveled with them, and they have been grateful to learn from veteran missionaries Richard and Laura Badgett who serve nearby.
The Wilkerson family is seeking the Lord’s direction as they prepare to plant a church in the area. As they meet people in the community, they are reminded of the great spiritual need and are praying for opportunities to share the Gospel. They have already begun outreach efforts, including starting a Portuguese Bible study and seeking ways to reach the deaf community while learning both American Sign Language (ASL) and South African Sign Language (SASL).
The family has also been encouraged by how well their children have adjusted to the transition. Logan has made friends quickly, Alainey has access to needed therapists and doctors, and Henley continues to grow and thrive.
Recently, Noah had the opportunity to lead a young man named “Success” to Christ after sharing how true success is found in God’s Word (Joshua 1:8). The family asks prayer that he will grow in his new faith.
Pray for wisdom and guidance as the Wilkersons seek to plant a church in Mbombela.
Pray for the Portuguese Bible study and future outreach opportunities.
Pray for wisdom and effectiveness as they work to reach the deaf community.
Pray for the family’s continued adjustment and God’s protection in their ministry.
