The Wilkerson family, serving in Southern Africa, are thankful for how God is opening doors in their new city of Mbombela. Over the past few months, they have seen the Lord provide opportunities to connect with people, navigate important transitions, and begin laying the groundwork for a new church plant. God has opened a door to meet in a small location for Liberty Baptist Church, giving them a place to start Bible studies and begin building a core group. 

They are also seeing fruit through evangelism efforts. With the arrival of thousands of Gospel tracts, they have been actively sharing Christ in nearby areas. During one outreach, a man trusted Christ as Savior, bringing great encouragement to the team. In addition, they have been able to renew visas, allowing them to continue ministering without interruption. 

As they move forward, they are focusing on growing the church plant, expanding outreach, and continuing to learn the local language to better connect with the people they are reaching.

• Pray for God’s blessing and wisdom in the church plant.

• Pray for the salvation of those hearing the Gospel.

• Pray for continued growth in South African Sign Language (SASL).

• Pray for the Bible studies to grow into a strong church.

• Pray for continued open doors for outreach and ministry.
