Jason and Ellen Thomas are thankful for a busy and encouraging summer of ministry in Mexico. At the end of July, they took nine young people to Bible camp, where one young man rededicated his life to the Lord and many of the teens made decisions to deny themselves and follow Christ. The following week, Cornerstone Baptist Church held Vacation Bible School with the theme “Journey to Jerusalem—Have a Life-Changing Encounter with Jesus.” Five young people trusted Christ as Savior during VBS.
The church has also experienced encouraging outreach throughout the summer, with visitors from the community attending almost every week. One special example is Daniela, who has been faithfully attending with her mother and sister for the past two months. After two ladies from the church visited her during Saturday evangelism, Daniela trusted Christ as Savior. She has since joined the discipleship class and is now participating in Saturday evangelism herself. The Thomases are thankful to see God changing lives and believers becoming involved in reaching others.
Jason and Ellen are also celebrating 24 years of missionary service in Mexico. They are grateful for what God has done over those years and for the churches and individuals who have faithfully prayed for and supported their ministry. As they look ahead, they remain excited about what God has planned and are committed to continuing to share the Gospel, disciple believers, and invest in the next generation.
