Nathan Saint recently made a short trip back to Chile while traveling to a Bible conference in Colombia. He was greatly encouraged to see the church continuing to grow during the family’s furlough, including about 10 people who began attending after the Saints left for the United States. A major blessing came when a shipment of more than 23,000 complete Bibles arrived at the church. The Bibles were provided at no cost and will be distributed freely to help reach people with the Gospel. 

One especially encouraging story involves Miguel, a man whose life has been changed by the Lord. Miguel recently gave a Bible to his uncle in Santiago, and his uncle trusted Christ as Savior. Now Miguel is eager to take some of the newly arrived Bibles to other unsaved family members. Pastor Juan Carlos described the change by saying that just as Paul went from persecutor to preacher, “Miguel the Bible hider is now the Bible distributor.” Nathan is thankful to see believers growing, sharing their faith, and becoming personally involved in reaching others.

Plans are also moving forward for the ministry’s new camp facility. Nathan negotiated the work for a small gymnasium that will serve as an important first part of the camp. Because of increased construction costs and an expanded building size, the estimated cost is now $80,000–$90,000. Nathan will return to the United States to finish furlough, with about 20 churches still to visit over the next two and a half months. The Saint family is looking forward to returning to Chile at the end of the year and joining again in what God is doing through the church.
