Tom and Peggy Rickard are thankful for the Lord’s continued faithfulness as their ministry has shifted into a season of helping and encouraging churches and other servants of God. They have been serving at Gilgal Baptist Church in North Carolina, where Tom has helped with music and numerous maintenance projects while Peggy has had opportunities to influence and encourage the pastor’s girls. Tom has also found opportunities to encourage younger and retired men in ministry through personal conversations and fellowship. 

During July, the Rickards traveled to Indiana to help Nathan Rickard and his wife prepare for their move to a new ministry opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama. Tom and Peggy spent many hours repairing and preparing their house for sale, including painting, replacing damaged wood and shutters, making repairs inside the home, and helping load their moving truck. They are thankful that God continues to give them practical ways to serve churches and ministry families.

They are especially praising the Lord for Tom’s encouraging medical report following his brain aneurysm more than eight months ago. A recent follow-up procedure showed that the repaired aneurysm is doing well and, importantly, doctors found no additional aneurysm as previously feared. Looking ahead, the Rickards plan to continue helping with projects at Gilgal Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church in South Carolina, grateful that God continues to provide opportunities for them to serve.
