Latest Update

Robbie and Lauren Prater are rejoicing in a very special season of life as they welcome their newborn son, Shepherd Lee Prater, who was born safely on June 2. Both Lauren and the baby are doing well, and they are thankful for God’s goodness and the many prayers that surrounded this important time. This new chapter has been a blessing as they begin life as a family of three. 

During their furlough, they have remained active in ministry by serving in a Spanish church. Robbie has had several opportunities to preach, allowing them to continue strengthening their Spanish skills while ministering in a culturally relevant setting. These opportunities have been both encouraging and helpful as they prepare for their future work on the field.

Looking ahead, they are preparing to return to Paraguay with plans to begin Lighthouse Baptist Church in early 2027. They are currently working through important logistics, including gathering necessary government documents, while praying for the Lord to open doors and provide contacts that will help lay the foundation for this new church plant.
