Lynette Osborn is thankful for a busy and fruitful season of ministry in South Africa. Camp Rhino recently hosted its third annual men’s retreat, bringing together men from 10 different churches for preaching, fellowship, and encouragement. Lighthouse Baptist Church also held its second annual Vacation Bible School, with more than 180 young people attending. Lynette is thankful for the many church members who helped serve and is praying for opportunities to follow up with the children and their families. 

The ministry was also able to purchase much-needed equipment for the youth home and Camp Rhino kitchens, including industrial ovens, cookware, a microwave, and a griddle. These items were purchased through gifts given in memory of Lynette’s mother, who recently passed away. Lynette is thankful that her mother’s legacy of serving the Lord and others can continue through this ministry. 

October began with a Camp Rhino soccer tournament attended by more than 200 people. The Gospel was shared with the players and spectators, and Lynette is thankful that 18 young people trusted Christ as Savior. The ministry is now focused on following up with them and helping connect them with local churches. Looking ahead, Lynette is preparing for December summer camps and greater involvement with Bay Baptist Academy during the 2027 school year.
