South Africa
Lynette Osborn continues faithfully serving in South Africa alongside Mark and Amy Coffey. She recently made a quick trip to the United States to visit family and apply for a long-term volunteer visa. Praise the Lord, her visa was approved, allowing her to remain on the field.
The year concluded with two full weeks of Camp Rhino, enrolling nearly 200 campers. Many young people trusted Christ as Savior. Lynette especially rejoices in seeing teens and young adults serve as counselors and leaders, growing in their own walk with Christ while helping others.
At Lighthouse Baptist Church, the Lord continues to bless. A woman who had attended faithfully for nearly a year accepted Christ in January and is now following the Lord in baptism. Another young lady from camp, Lhoza, is also being baptized. Weekly attendance averages around 60 adults and 30 children. Due to growth, the church has outgrown its building. A generous donation has been given to expand for additional Sunday school space, but the building sits on community property, and approval from local leaders is needed.
Lynette also volunteers one day a week at Bay Baptist Academy, where she will be teaching two choir classes and helping students use their talents for the Lord.
