Patrick and Emily O’Brien share how the Lord has faithfully guided their family and ministry in Newfoundland during a busy and encouraging season. A major family milestone came as their oldest daughter, Courtney, left to attend Ambassador Baptist College. Despite unexpected travel challenges, God clearly provided every step of the way, allowing Courtney to arrive on time and see firsthand the Lord’s care for her life and future. The family is thankful for God’s provision for her first semester and is trusting Him for continued needs.
In ministry, the church is actively preparing for upcoming Christmas outreach through a Christmas program, caroling, and plans to minister at a local nursing home. God has also opened doors for gospel conversations through personal relationships, a hunting trip with unsaved men, and ongoing services held at a local college. Two college students have recently begun attending evening services, and several husbands of church members have started attending Sunday school and church. Patrick continues teaching through a Bible survey series, which has led to thoughtful questions and opportunities to clearly present the gospel. The O’Briens are encouraged by these signs of spiritual interest and remain prayerful for lasting fruit.
Praise the Lord for Courtney’s safe arrival at college and His provision for her first semester.
Pray for Courtney’s continued adjustment, spiritual growth, and provision for future semesters and summer employment.
Pray for the upcoming Christmas program on November 30 and planned nursing home ministry, that many would hear the gospel.
Pray for the two college students attending evening services, that they would continue coming and trust Christ as Savior.
Pray for C & J, husbands of church members, that they would continue attending church and come to saving faith.
Pray for God’s provision to purchase a permanent building for the church.
