Trey and Karen Mayfield continue traveling on deputation as they prepare to begin their ministry in Mexico. October was a busy month filled with meetings and missions conferences across several states, including Pennsylvania, Illinois, Florida, and California. During this time, they also had to split up briefly for ministry responsibilities while Karen attended an important appointment at the Mexican Consulate.
Karen had been working for several months to obtain her dual citizenship, which will help greatly with their future ministry in Mexico. Although she was finally able to attend the consulate meeting, additional paperwork issues meant the process must be rescheduled, with the next available appointment expected in February. Through the delay, the Mayfields are trusting the Lord’s timing and continuing to move forward by faith.
During their travels, they were encouraged by opportunities to participate in several missions conferences, including one in Southern California and another at their sending church in Pensacola. It was especially encouraging for them to see many young people surrender to full-time ministry and missions.
With only seven churches left to visit on deputation, the Mayfields have begun preparing for their move to Mexico City. They are praying for an apartment to become available near the church where they will be serving and are thankful for the churches and supporters who are partnering with them in this ministry.
Pray that Karen will receive a new consulate appointment soon and successfully obtain her dual citizenship.
Pray for the final deputation meetings as they complete their remaining church visits.
Pray for God’s provision of the remaining $13,000 needed for their outgoing expenses when arriving in Mexico.
Pray for the Lord to provide an apartment near the church in Mexico City.
Pray for wisdom and guidance as they prepare for this new season of ministry in Mexico.
