Esteban and Alejandra Marquez, serving in Mexico City, are thankful for God’s provision and the opportunities He has given them to reach their community. With the World Cup bringing increased activity near their area, they were able to use this event as a unique outreach opportunity. By distributing Gospel tracts at a local sports center, they saw one person trust Christ and several others show interest in attending church. 

The church has also been encouraged through several meaningful events over the past months. They celebrated their 4-year church anniversary, hosted a visiting college group that ministered through testimonies and music, and saw one young man sense God’s call to attend Bible institute. In addition, a ladies conference provided spiritual encouragement and growth for many of the women in the church.

At the same time, the Marquez family is facing both spiritual and practical challenges. Several church members are dealing with illness and difficult life situations, and they are sensing spiritual opposition. They also have a financial need related to repairing their ministry vehicle, which is essential for their work. Despite these challenges, they continue trusting the Lord for wisdom, provision, and strength to carry on the ministry.
