Mark and Emily, church planters in Suriname, are thankful to be back on the field after a time away. God provided safe travels, protected their home during their absence, and supplied faithful men to continue the ministry while they were gone. They are grateful to return and are excited to begin a new season of ministry.
One encouraging development has been the restart of their neighborhood Kids Bible Club after a four-month break. Attendance has already grown to around 15 children, with new visitors continuing to come. They have also introduced a summer challenge to encourage Scripture memory and outreach, praying that God will use these efforts to reach both children and their families with the Gospel.
In addition, they have begun a Spanish ministry within their church, offering live translation during services so Spanish speakers can hear God’s Word in their own language. This has opened doors to build relationships within the Spanish-speaking community, and they are trusting the Lord to use these efforts to expand their outreach and strengthen the church.
Pray for God’s blessing on this new season of ministry.
Pray for the salvation of children and families through the Bible Club.
Pray for open doors among the Spanish-speaking community.
Pray for the volunteer translators, for wisdom, growth, and faithfulness.
Pray for spiritual growth and discipleship of new visitors.
