Allen and Hagit Lord are marking 43 years since Allen surrendered his life to missionary service and are thankful for God’s faithfulness through many years of preparation and ministry. For the past 10 years, they have served the Jewish people in Israel, fulfilling a burden Allen first expressed decades ago. They are grateful for the churches and individuals who have faithfully partnered with them through prayer and financial support. SKM_C750i27092914451

The Lords are preparing for a three-month furlough from October through December. They hope to spend time with family they have not seen in several years and visit supporting churches as their schedule allows. Meanwhile, ministry opportunities continue in Israel. They recently helped meet a request from the 8104 Armored Battalion of the Israel Defense Forces, delivering needed supplies and sharing a meal with soldiers. They ask for prayer for these soldiers who are serving in dangerous conditions.

The Lords are also helping provide food and blankets to Ukrainian and Russian Jewish immigrants in Israel. This ministry is especially meaningful to Allen because of his earlier evangelistic work in Ukraine, where he participated in distributing Scripture and later made more than 20 ministry visits, primarily to Kharkiv. Some of the people they now serve in Israel are young families affected by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. As the Lords continue serving, their desire is to meet both physical and spiritual needs and faithfully share the message of Christ.
