Gary Lester, serving in Australia, shares that the new year has brought several changes both in the world and in the ministry. Rising fuel concerns and uncertainty are affecting daily life, while changes within the church include families moving and ongoing health struggles among members. Despite this, there have been encouraging signs, including the return of faithful attendees and a teen who had been absent for nearly a year. 

A special highlight was a new believer from a Muslim background taking a bold step of faith by leaving behind her former identity and embracing her new life in Christ. This was a powerful testimony of transformation and growth in the church. 

Gary also faced a serious personal health challenge, spending several days in the hospital with a severe infection. Though the recovery has been difficult, he is thankful that the Lord has restored much of his strength and allowed him to continue in ministry.
