Military Ministries
Japan
The Knight family continues serving U.S. military personnel and their families through Faith Baptist Church in Iwakuni, Japan. Over the past year, the Lord has blessed their ministry with encouraging growth and many opportunities to share the gospel.
During the last twelve months, the church has seen more than 150 visitors and over 30 individuals make professions of faith. Many of these new believers have become actively involved in the church and are continuing to grow in their faith. Several service members who were previously stationed there have now been reassigned, but many continue faithfully serving the Lord in churches where they have moved.
A special encouragement for the Knights has been seeing young believers actively discipling others. Several members of the church are now helping encourage and mentor fellow service members in their walk with Christ.
The ministry also continues to move forward with plans for a future church building project. The current meeting space has limitations due to past conflicts with a landlord, making it difficult to fully utilize the property for ministry. The Knights are working toward building a facility that would better serve the growing congregation and future outreach efforts.
They are currently gathering estimates and exploring options for the project. The estimated cost for the building is around $650,000, and they are trusting the Lord to provide the needed funds. Already, $11,000 has been raised, and they are praying that God will supply the remaining amount through faithful supporters.
The Knights are thankful for the continued growth of the church and are trusting the Lord for wisdom as they prepare for the next season of ministry in Japan.
