Kyle and Emily Kerr continue ministering in Zambia where their Highlands Baptist Bible Study has been growing and developing toward becoming a local church. Since November 2025, the Bible study has been meeting twice each week on Sundays and Thursdays, allowing for regular teaching and discipleship.
During the Christmas season, the group studied the birth of Christ and hosted both a Christmas Eve candlelight service and a Christmas morning service, which brought several first-time visitors. Although attendance temporarily declined during heavy rains in January, many attendees returned in February, and the ministry continues to see encouraging growth.
The Kerrs are currently teaching on the doctrines of the church and helping the group understand what a biblical church is and how it should function. Their desire is to see the Bible study transition into a fully established church in the near future.
God has also been working in the lives of those attending. One woman recently gained assurance of her salvation after speaking with Emily, and another family that began attending saw both a mother and her teenage son accept Christ as Savior, while the daughter gained assurance of her salvation.
Pray for the Highlands Baptist Bible Study as it moves toward becoming an established church.
Pray for the continued spiritual growth of those attending the Bible study.
Pray for good health and safety for the Kerr family.
Pray for progress in learning the Tonga language for more effective ministry.
Pray for their children, Eden and Elisabeth, that they would trust Christ at a young age.
Pray for God’s protection and provision in their daily ministry, including reliable transportation.
