Erik and Holly Johnson are thankful for a summer filled with ministry opportunities and progress on their new evangelistic center and camp property. They began preparing the property for construction and held the official groundbreaking and dedication in July. The Johnsons are grateful for God’s provision and are looking forward to seeing how the property can be used to reach people and strengthen the ministry in the years ahead. 

The same week as the groundbreaking, the church held Vacation Bible School, which provided many opportunities to share the Gospel with first-time visitors. Pastor Eduard Patiño and his wife, Patty, helped with the outreach, along with a youth group from the Johnsons’ sending church, Temple Baptist Church in Dulles, Virginia. The Johnsons are now praying that the families reached through VBS will return, continue hearing the Gospel, and ultimately place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

August also brought an important change for the Johnson family as their oldest daughter, Ashley, began her first year at Pensacola Christian College. While they are excited about this new season in her life, adjusting to having their daughter far from home has been difficult. They are praying that Ashley will adjust well to college, continue growing in her relationship with the Lord, and have wisdom and protection as she begins this new chapter.
