The Huffman family is thankful for a year filled with both family milestones and ministry opportunities. They celebrated Mary’s 16th birthday, 30 years of marriage for the Huffmans, and the September marriage of their daughter Christina to Josh Medina. Christina and Josh are both actively serving in the church plant, and the Huffmans are thankful to see their family continuing to grow and serve the Lord together.
At One Hope Church, much of this year’s ministry has centered on teaching believers how to practically love and reach their neighbors. Through the B.L.E.S.S. emphasis, the church is encouraging members to begin with prayer, listen with care, eat together, serve with love, and share their story. The goal is to intentionally build relationships that create opportunities to share Christ with others.
Prayer has become an important part of this effort. Men’s groups, community groups, and Sunday Growth Groups regularly pray for one another and specifically for people who need Christ. These relationships are also being strengthened through simple activities such as meals, campfires, shopping, providing rides, and spending time together. The Huffmans are thankful that God is using these ordinary moments to open doors for Gospel conversations and deeper relationships with their neighbors.
Meals and fellowship have also become an important outreach tool through Sunday lunches, International Student Fellowship, Community Groups, family activities, men’s events, and university outreach. These gatherings are creating natural opportunities for spiritual conversations and ongoing discussions about Christ.
Pray for One Hope Church to continue reaching its neighbors with the Gospel through the B.L.E.S.S. ministry emphasis.
Pray for church members to develop meaningful relationships with lost people that lead to Gospel conversations.
Pray for the Community Groups, Growth Groups, and men’s ministries as they study God’s Word and pray for the lost.
Pray for continued opportunities to reach international students and others in the community through meals and fellowship.
Pray for the Huffman family and the continued spiritual growth and ministry of One Hope Church.
