Jim and Susie Horne have been in the United States for several weeks and recently participated in their annual Operation Give Hope board meeting. They enjoyed a productive meeting and time of fellowship and are already looking ahead to year-end giving and ministry projects planned for 2027. After approximately 50 years of missionary service, they remain committed to the work God has given them in Kenya.

A major concern for the Hornes is a significant loss of financial support. During the past 18 months, they have lost support from at least eight churches as well as several individual supporters. Some churches have faced financial difficulties or changed their missions priorities, while some supporters mistakenly believe the Hornes have retired. Other longtime individual supporters have retired themselves and are no longer able to continue giving.

Despite this financial challenge, Jim and Susie remain thankful for the faithful churches and individuals who have supported them, some for decades. They are asking current supporters who are able to consider increasing their giving to help make up the shortfall. Most importantly, the Hornes remain committed to their ministry in Kenya, saying that as long as the Lord continues to use them there, they intend to keep serving.

• Pray for new churches and individuals to partner with the Hornes financially.

• Pray that current supporters who are able will consider increasing their support.

• Pray for wisdom concerning Operation Give Hope and the ministry projects planned for 2027.

• Pray for continued strength and health for Jim and Susie as they serve.

• Pray for God’s continued blessing on their ministry in Kenya.

• Pray that the Hornes will have the resources and opportunities needed to continue faithfully serving the Lord for as long as He allows.
