Honduras
Brooklyn Hodges continues serving faithfully in Honduras, ministering through a children’s home and outreach programs to young people in the community. She expressed gratitude for the prayers and financial support that have sustained the ministry over the past year.
In January, New Life Baptist Church hosted its annual teen camp where Brooklyn helped coordinate and supervise food preparation for the event. More than 300 teens from five different countries attended, and many spiritual decisions were made during the week. She asks prayer that these young people will continue to grow in their faith and that church leaders will faithfully follow up with them.
The children’s home ministry has also resumed full activity as the new school year began. Currently, 40 children (18 boys and 22 girls) are being cared for through the ministry. Brooklyn is thankful that despite past government threats against the children’s home, God has continued to allow the ministry to remain open and impact lives.
In addition to the ministry responsibilities, Brooklyn recently moved into new living quarters, allowing her to be more involved in the daily care of the girls at the children’s home. She also plans to return to the United States briefly this summer to address some health matters and legal paperwork while continuing to represent the ministry.
Pray for the spiritual growth of the children living in the children’s home.
Pray for safety and protection for the ministry and the children.
Pray for two new teachers needed for the upcoming school year.
Pray for a solution to the water situation at the boys’ home, including the need for a well.
Pray that the teenagers who made decisions at camp will continue to grow and follow Christ.
