Brooklyn Hodges shares that the Lord has been teaching her the importance of having a close personal walk with Him. During a busy season of ministry, she has been challenged not to become so occupied with serving that she neglects quiet time with the Lord. September included family camp, substitute teaching fourth grade, and preparing for a major transition in her life and ministry.

After much prayer and consideration, Brooklyn has made the difficult decision to resign as a full-time BIMI missionaryand leave New Life Baptist ministries in Honduras, a ministry she has loved and been part of throughout her life. Her resignation became effective September 30. While she does not know exactly what the future holds, she believes God is directing this next chapter of her life.

For now, the Lord has opened an opportunity for Brooklyn to serve stateside in Flagstaff, Arizona, at Northland Baptist Church and Christian Academy. She plans to continue serving wherever God places her and helping meet ministry needs as opportunities arise. She is thankful for the faithful prayers and support she has received during her years of missionary service.

• Pray for the salvation of Melany and Genesis, two girls in the children’s home.

• Pray for Bessy Cruz, a school parent who recently lost her son in a tragic accident and does not know Christ as Savior.

• Pray for safety in the bus ministry, especially while crossing roads and walking along highways.

• Pray for the Holy Spirit to continue working in those who are saved and convicting the lost of their need for salvation.

• Pray for Brooklyn as she trusts God, follows Him in obedience, and begins this new season of ministry in Arizona.
