Les and Jenny Hill are thankful for a busy summer of ministry and time with family, but they have also experienced some discouragement at the church. Wednesday attendance has remained steady, while Sunday attendance has dropped to about 70% of capacity. Two recently baptized believers, Finn and Caoimhe, have stopped attending, but Andrew and Kinga remain faithful. The Hills continue several personal Bible studies, including with Vera and Prince, Felipe and Nayane, and Taiwo and Alejandra, while Jenny continues ministering to the ladies. Their prayer is for God to bring people who are hungry for His Word and committed to discipleship. 

Their summer youth ministries brought encouraging results. During youth camp, three teenagers from three different churches trusted Christ as Savior. Their Bible club also reached approximately 34 children, and they are praying that more children and families will begin attending church. Work is also underway to replace the flooring throughout the church building. Several unbelieving men have volunteered to help, creating new opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel. Robbie’s heart appears to be softening, and Ian has also shown increased spiritual interest. 

Another Gospel opportunity has developed with Fatih, who opened a Halal shop beside the church. Les recently shared the Gospel with him, and Fatih is thinking about what he heard and wants to meet again. The Hills are also praying concerning a proposed mosque nearby. After the local council approved it, the planning board overturned that decision, and the matter has now gone to judicial review with the next court date scheduled for October 5. Through both the encouraging and difficult parts of ministry, the Hills continue investing in people and praying for God to work in hearts.

• Pray for upcoming youth camp and Bible clubs, for salvation and lasting fruit.

• Pray for the Hill family’s strength and effectiveness in ministry.
