Kim Heimerl continues faithfully serving in Porto Alegre, Brazil, focusing on evangelism, discipleship, and church ministry.
In October and November, a large evangelistic outreach led by a national pastor and a second-generation missionary family resulted in 54,690 John and Romans distributed throughout the region. Four individuals trusted Christ as Savior, and follow-up visits are underway through the Santa Maria church and the pastor in Lami. Kim rejoices in both the seeds planted and the souls saved.
In late November, Kim experienced a serious health scare and was hospitalized for five days with stroke-like symptoms. Doctors determined she had experienced several mini strokes but, by God’s grace, no lasting paralysis. She is now taking medication to address micro blood clots and is thankful for the Lord’s protection.
As the Brazilian summer months bring lower church attendance, Kim is using this season to evaluate and make new plans, especially in the music ministry. Although she initially lost several students to the teen class, new opportunities have opened to work with the teens during their fellowships. What seemed like a loss has turned into expanded ministry potential.
Kim remains grateful for faithful prayer and financial partners who make this ministry possible.
Pray for the souls in Lajeado and surrounding areas to be saved and grow spiritually.
Pray that her medication will fully resolve the blood clot issue and prevent further complications.
Pray for God’s continued blessing on the young people involved in the music ministry.
Pray for lasting fruit from the recent evangelistic outreach and follow-up efforts.
Pray for strength and wisdom as Kim continues serving in Brazil.
