Mike and Cindy Haley, serving in Botswana, are walking through a very difficult season while continuing to see God’s hand at work in the ministry. Cindy was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and her treatment has included surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and ongoing care. Despite serious complications, including neurological effects from brain tumors, there have been encouraging signs of improvement, and they continue to rely daily on God’s grace and strength.
Even in the midst of this trial, the ministry continues to move forward in powerful ways. Construction projects at the Grace Oasis property are progressing, with help from visiting mission teams. Outreach efforts remain strong, including Bible clubs, evangelism, and widespread distribution of New Testaments. Multiple churches are growing, new ministries have begun, and several individuals have recently trusted Christ as Savior.
Through both hardship and blessing, the Haley family is clinging to the faithfulness of God. They are deeply grateful for the outpouring of prayer, encouragement, and support from others. While facing physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges, they remain committed to the work, trusting the Lord to continue using their lives for the advancement of the Gospel.
A brand new video update on Cindy's condition is posted below.
