Mike and Cindy Haley continue serving the Lord in Botswana through their ministry at Grace Oasis, a 10-acre property that God miraculously provided for them about two and a half years ago. The facility has become an important tool for ministry, hosting youth camps, marriage retreats, conferences, and training opportunities for national pastors and Christian workers.
Since acquiring the property, the Haleys have worked diligently to renovate and repair many areas of the former lodge. The ministry has already been a tremendous blessing and continues to open doors for reaching people with the gospel and strengthening churches throughout the region.
However, the property’s original thatch grass roofs are deteriorating and creating serious concerns. The roofs are leaking, require constant maintenance, and present a significant fire risk. Insurance companies are increasingly unwilling to cover thatch buildings, which could leave the ministry vulnerable.
After much prayer and research, the Haleys believe the best solution is to replace the roof on the main lodge with a synthetic thatch product that is fireproof, maintenance-free, and guaranteed for 30 years while still preserving the traditional appearance. The estimated cost for replacing the roof on the main lodge building is $110,000. They are trusting the Lord to provide the needed funds so this vital ministry facility can continue serving churches and believers across Botswana.
Pray for God’s provision of the $110,000 needed to replace the Grace Oasis lodge roof.
Pray for wisdom and safety during the renovation process once the funds are provided.
Pray that Grace Oasis will continue to be a powerful tool for camps, conferences, and leadership training in Botswana.
Pray for protection of the property and ministry as they address the current roofing concerns.
Pray that many lives will continue to be reached with the gospel through the ministry at Grace Oasis.
