Jon and April Flowers are thankful for an encouraging summer of ministry in Taiwan. In July, they took more than 20 people from Hope Baptist Church to summer camp, where God used the preaching to work in the lives of their young people. Since returning, the teens have continued serving in the church, including singing specials during services. The Flowers are now preparing for a special youth service at the end of November, where the young people will be given responsibility for the afternoon Bible study service. 

They also held their annual English Camp, using a circus theme while teaching God's Word to the children each day. One of the greatest encouragements was seeing their teenagers actively helping teach and serve. The Flowers hope the younger children will see the example of these teens and develop their own desire to serve the Lord as they grow older. 

In August, Jon and their son Ethan traveled to the United States to help a missionary friend's son begin his first year of Bible college. The trip also allowed Ethan to visit the college as he begins considering his own future. With two years remaining before college, the Flowers are praying that God will clearly direct his life. As they enter the fall season, their desire is to see continued spiritual growth in the church and more people reached with the Gospel.
