Mark and Amy Coffey are excited about several new opportunities to reach people with the Gospel in South Africa. Plans are already underway for a major missions trip in December 2027 with Evangelist Scott Pauley and the Enjoying the Journey team. The trip will include a citywide evangelistic campaign and teen camp at Camp Rhino, with young people from ninth grade through young adulthood invited to participate. They are praying that God will use this effort to reach many people throughout their community. 

Camp Rhino continues to grow, with the new lodge nearly complete and expected to be used for an upcoming men’s retreat. The next major project is an eight-bedroom missions team lodge, which they hope to complete by next summer. A supporting church has already provided $5,000 toward construction, with approximately $40,000 still needed. Lighthouse Baptist Church is also preparing two outreach events for more than 300 high school seniors, giving the church an opportunity to preach the Gospel and build relationships with families in the surrounding community.

The Coffeys are also thankful to see their family and missions team expanding. Their daughter Emilee is in the United States raising support and hopes to return to South Africa as a full-time missionary by May. Their son Luke, his wife Adri, and their son Liam are completing a six-month missions internship in Colombia. Several additional missionary families are also preparing for service, including Michael and Victoria Turner in Burkina Faso and two new missionary units scheduled to arrive in South Africa in December and January. The Coffeys are encouraged to see more laborers preparing to reach people and plant churches.
