Caleb & Kelsi Caviness

Republic of Congo
Caleb and Kelci Caviness continue serving the Lord as missionaries to the Republic of Congo and are currently on furlough in the United States. Over the past several months, they have traveled extensively—primarily along the West Coast from Washington to Texas—reporting on their first term in Congo. They have been encouraged by reconnecting with supporting churches, preaching, singing, and sharing the need for the Gospel in Central Africa.
The Lord has also brought a special family blessing. After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of two babies this past year, the Caviness family is expecting a baby girl within the next month. While the pregnancy has been physically difficult for Kelci, they are grateful for God’s goodness and look forward to welcoming their daughter soon.
During their travels, Caleb was reminded that “the field is the world.” While visiting a church in Texas, he met a woman named Sandra who had moved to the U.S. from Kinshasa, just across the river from where they live in Congo. He asks prayer that Sandra would trust Christ as Savior.
The Caviness family remains thankful for faithful prayer partners and the churches that have supported them so generously, including special Christmas gifts during furlough.
Pray for Kelci to have a safe and smooth delivery and for a healthy baby girl.
Pray that the process of securing the baby’s birth certificate, passport, and visa will go quickly and without complication.
Pray for the Lord’s protection over their home and vehicle while they are away on furlough.
Pray that Sandra would accept Christ as her Savior.
Pray for continued fruitful furlough meetings and preparation to return to Congo.
