Latest Update

Tim and Laura Berrey recently traveled with three of their sons to Canada, where one of the most meaningful stops was a visit to The Hawk at the southern tip of Nova Scotia. They visited a church that has been without a pastor for five years yet continues meeting every Sunday with 70–80 people attending. The Berreys are burdened for God to provide a man willing to serve and shepherd this congregation in a place where there is a great need for faithful Gospel ministry.

With colleges back in session, much of their fall ministry will focus on missions recruitment among college students. Tim plans to visit college campuses and speak during church missions conferences, encouraging young people to consider internships and short-term missions opportunities around the world. A major focus is recruiting for two 2027 GFA Missions teams. The Central Europe E3 Mission Team will minister in Germany, Poland, Czechia, and Austria through music, evangelism, and outreach. The South America E3 Mission Team will serve in Uruguay and Argentina, helping churches and camps while sharing the Gospel in communities.

The Berreys see these teams as opportunities to introduce another generation of young people to places where there is a great need for Gospel workers. Their desire is not simply to fill short-term teams but to see God use these experiences to burden young people for long-term missionary service. As they travel, recruit, preach, and encourage others toward missions, Tim and Laura are also asking God to help them personally remain faithful workers in His harvest.
