The Ballou family is thankful to be back in Lamphun, Thailand, after spending June and July visiting family and supporting churches in the United States. This year marks 15 years since they were approved as missionaries, and they are grateful for the faithful churches and individuals who have prayed for and supported their ministry. As they return to Thailand, their vision remains clear: to see Thai people turn to Christ, grow in their faith, and eventually lead and serve within the local church.
They have returned to encouraging opportunities at Sila (Cornerstone) Baptist Church. Several recent guests are seriously considering Christ, including Boom and A, a married couple who have attended seven times. Boom serves in the Thai military, and several Christian men from the church recently shared with him how they turned from their former religion to follow Jesus while maintaining relationships with family and coworkers. The church is also preparing for a September class with 8–10 potential new members, while continuing to disciple believers and develop future leaders.
The Ballous are also thankful for their new church property, where members are already gathering for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and preparation for future ministry. Their first Sunday back included a special Thai Mother’s Day outreach, where two unsaved mothers they have been praying for attended and heard about Christ. They are grateful for the spiritual growth taking place and are praying that both new believers and those considering Christ will experience genuine transformation through the Gospel.
Pray for Boom and A to understand the Gospel clearly and trust Christ as Savior.
Pray for the two unsaved mothers who recently attended the Mother’s Day service.
Pray for the 8–10 potential new members beginning the Starting Point class in September.
Pray for wisdom as the Ballous disciple believers and develop Thai church leaders.
Pray for the unbelievers and new Christians who have recently begun attending the church.
Pray for God’s direction and provision as they develop the new church property for future ministry.
Pray for the Ballou children to continue growing in their love for Christ and others.
