Jonathan and his family continue faithfully sharing the Gospel in the Dominican Republic through church planting, discipleship, youth development, and outreach.
The churches are growing, and national leaders are stepping into greater responsibility. Due to growth and the distance between members’ homes, the English Bible study has expanded into five separate groups meeting throughout the week. The Spanish church ladies also meet regularly for Bible study and fellowship. The unity between the English and Spanish congregations continues to be a testimony in their community.
A major outreach during the year was the King’s Day activity, where nearly 70 volunteers helped minister to over 450 children and adults. Many heard the Gospel, played games, and received gifts. In January, six souls trusted Christ following a message titled “God’s Sovereignty Seen in Salvation.” Jonathan asks prayer that these new believers will continue to grow and be discipled.
The family is also seeing blessings at home. Their daughter Marian turned sixteen and faithfully serves in worship and ministry. Adalynn assists in children’s ministry and translation, and JJ remains full of energy and potential for the Lord’s service.
After a difficult season of sickness in November and December, the family is thankful to be feeling better and continues pressing forward in the work God has given them.
Pray for the six recent converts to grow and be faithfully discipled.
Pray for continued growth and leadership development in both churches.
Pray for strength and health for the Autrey family.
Pray for wisdom and direction for Mariah as she seeks God’s will for college and her future.
Pray for ongoing fruit from community outreaches like King’s Day.
