Latest Update

Rick Arrowood and the Slavic Baptist Mission continue ministering in Ukraine during an extremely difficult time. Following a recent trip to Ukraine, Rick reports urgent needs as winter approaches. Russian attacks continue damaging infrastructure, leaving people without heat, electricity, running water, and other basic necessities. At the same time, families are grieving loved ones who have been wounded or killed. Yet these hardships have created remarkable openness to the Gospel, and the ministry believes this is an important opportunity to reach Ukrainians with the message of Christ.

The ministry continues its Slavic Baptist Institute (SBI) training, evangelistic meetings, humanitarian relief, camps, and support of national pastors. Derek recently completed the fall SBI session and then traveled with Sergei into southern and eastern Ukraine to preach, encourage graduates and pastors, and distribute aid to people in need. Pastor Nickoli has recently been appointed Vice President of the Slavic Baptist Institute, with other national leaders such as Pastor Pavlo helping carry the work forward.

A major concern continues to be the national pastors and their families who live and minister in danger every day. Slavic Baptist Mission is currently helping support Pastors Pavlo, Nickoli, Dima, Efgeny, Gena, and Alic. Rick is also traveling to churches in the United States to report on the ministry and raise awareness and support for the work in Ukraine.
