Papua New Guinea
John and Lena Allen continue faithfully serving in Papua New Guinea, rejoicing in God’s grace over nearly 18 years on the field.
A recent encouragement came from Kotidanga Baptist Church. After experiencing serious division and hardship—including the loss of their national pastor—the Lord has raised up new leadership. Judas Gideon, who has been part of the church since childhood, completed three years of Bible training in December 2025 and returned to his home village with his family. Since arriving, he has reunited believers who had been meeting separately and is faithfully preaching the Word while working to restore unity. The Allens are grateful to see God provide a shepherd for this hurting congregation.
At the same time, work continues on final corrections, recording, and printing of the Kamea New Testament. This translation will provide believers in Kotidanga and surrounding areas with Scripture in their own language. Judas has expressed great anticipation in receiving a copy.
The Bible school ministry is also moving forward with nine students in two locations, and five are expected to graduate this spring. The Allens remain thankful for the privilege of investing in future leaders.
Reflecting on their years of ministry—11 in Kotidanga and 7 in Port Moresby—they give all the glory to God for the fruit that has been produced.
